Ive wanted this perfume for probably just under a year, but as it's Dior and is quite expensive I never got around to purchasing it. However, when I was in Fiji on my honeymoon last month, I saw it in the Duty Free shop at the resort and wanted to spoil mysels - so I bought it!!
It is definitely my favourite perfume that I own! I have been wearing it every day since I bought it, so for about a month now. The Dior website describes it as...
A fresh floral chypre enhanced with springtime notes
Blood Orange Essence
A fresh and energizing head note
Neroli Essence
A bittersweet caress with a floral aroma
Patchouli Essence
The emblematic sophisticated signature of Miss Dior Cherie
It definitely does have a floral scent, but too me it's much more sweet smelling than many other floral perfumes. I don't know that I would wear it in Summer as I prefer a lighter/fresher kind of scent in the hot weather. But I'm loving it at the moment (Autumn).
The Miss Dior Cherie range also comes in Eau de Parfum which is in a flatter, more rectangle container with a peachier liquid and l'Eau which comes in the same shape as the Eau de Toilette, but it's a green liquid.
I haven't tried the other two in the range, but I absolutely LOVE my Eau de Toilette and the cute packaging with the bow lid is just adorable. The only negative I have is that I can't smell it anymore at the end of the working day - I don't know if that's just because Ive gotten used to it so it's not as potent, or if it just doesn't have as good a staying power as I like. But thats the only negative I have (oh and the price - but hey, it's Dior!!)
Have you tried this perfume? What do you think about it?

My wedding!
I got married 1 month ago today!
So I did a couple of blog posts last year and then sort of forget about it with all the planning of the wedding and stress at work, etc. But this year Im very keen to get back into it and get this blog up and running with regular posts.
So to start my blogging for this year I wanted to do a little post about my wedding day.
The day was Friday 8th April and the ceremony and reception were held at Carrick Hill in South Australia. It was a 31 degrees (celcius) day but had coolled down slightly by the time our 4pm ceremony started.
I was sick for the week leasing up to it with the flu, and on the day I woke up feeling alot better, but my voice was completely gone!! So although I was very quiet and croaky as I read my vows, it made for a good laughing point on the day for everyone as everytime I attempted to laugh with my silly voice, everyone else would go into hysterics as I sounded so ridiculous! lol.
But it was a fantastic day. I didnt cry at all as I thought I would have, can't say the same for my bridesmaids though!! lol. I was just so happy and couldn't stop smiling all day. The ceremony went well and the recetion was fantastic and lots of fun.
After the wedding my husband and I spent 10 nights in Fiji which was amazing - so relaxing!
I don't have the pro pics yet, but here are some that friends have taken...

10 current makeup favourites...
I wanted to do a post about some products that I love at the moment and find myself reaching for the most...
1. Estee Lauder Crystal Baby (lipstick)
A gorgeous natural lipstick with a beautiful pink, glossy finish. An absolute must-have for an everyday lip colour.
2. Nars Sheer Glow Foundation
One of my favourite foundations of all time. This ticks all the boxes; feels light weight, medium coverage and very buildable, looks VERY natural - even my fiance commented on how good my makeup looked the first time i used it.
3. MAC Mineralized Skin Finish - Natural
This powder is a staple everyday item for me. I use it to set my foundation and to do touch-ups throughout the day. It's so smooth and makes skin look very velvety and flawless. It also has very good coverage if you use it on it's own and doesn't feel too powdery either.
4. Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara
The picture is of the normal version, but I actually have it in water proof (it has a blue ring instead of silver) and I really like the water proof version (although I haven't tried the regular). It has a very thick wand which may turn some people off, but i find that the formula really thickens my lashes well and it really holds the curl all day long.
5. Australis Colour Inject Lipstick - in Jive
I love the gorgeous bright/pastel pink colour of this lipstick. For a drugstore brand it has very good quality and excellent staying power (for me anyway). I always like to wear a conditioning lip balm underneath as it can be slightly drying, but not majorly, so maybe that's just me.
6. Nars Orgasm Blush
Love this blush. It's good for an everyday rosy glow. A peachy pink with gold small gold reflects (but the gold doesn't show up much, it just adds a nice glowy shimmer).
7. Australis Creme Blush
These cream blushes are lovely for a dewy look. Again, Australis is fast becoming a favourite drugstore brand for me.
8. MAC Studio finish concealer
This concealer is perfect for under the eye's. I find it slightly to heavy/thick for my skin, but it's staying power is perfect for an all day coverage to hide dark circles. I apply it with a MAC 224 brush.
9. Sigma F30 brush
The Sigma brushes are definitely my favourite brand of brushes. This large powder brush is heavenly to dust on powder. It's so soft and deposits the powder evenly and smoothly on the skin. I haven't had much shedding either (apart from the occassional hair, but nothing to turn me off).
10. Blistex lip balm
This lip balm is one of my daily essentials. I put it on in the morning before applying my makeup and then I re-apply throughout the day if my lips are particularly dry. It is magic stuff I tell you, no matter how dry my lips get, 1-2 days of using this and they are as soft and healthy as ever!

marie claire 15th Anniversary edition update
Hi Everyone,
I forgot to mention in my last post that the magazine also comes with an Estee lauder lipgloss!!!!!!!!!! It's in the colour "Passion Fruit" and it's a shimmer pure colour gloss. It smells AMAZING and I'm inlove with it! The only downside for me is that I prefer none shimmery, but it's a fairly fine shimmer so It's not so bad.
Anyway, I entered almost every competition in the magazine (my poor phone bill is crying now) and almost every competition on the website so if I don't win anything after all that I'll be a little upset, lol. But just my luck I probably won't win anything! lol
I'll let you all know though and If I do get anything I will DEFINITELY be doing some product reviews!
xx Courtney

marie claire magazine - GIVEAWAYS AND COMPETITIONS!!!
Hi Everyone,
The other day I bought the current edition of marie claire magazine and it's the 15th anniversary edition. So it's the size of a medium length novel in my opinion and is CHOCABLOCK full of amazing articles, fashion pages, my favourite part - lots of makeup pages, and the best part - LOADS of competitions and giveaways!!!!!!!
So the competitions mainly consist of "Win everything on this page" type giveaways which include alot of hair and makeup products and all you have to do is end a text msg to enter the competition - how easy is that!!!!! There are aso a few other competitions such as a voucher where you have to spend 40 dollars at Witchery and you receive some sort of gift upto - i think it was - $1000, but every voucher has at least $20 worth of prizs on it.
I think this is the most excited I've been about a magazine probably in my whole life and I am DEFINITELY going to enter EVERY competition - so if I win anything I will blog about it and maybe do some reviews!!
So if youre in Australia - GO OUT AN BUY IT...it's only $9.20!!

First Post and Intro
Hi!
This is my first post ever, so i thought I'd start with a little intro for myself.
My name is Courtney and I'm a born and raised Australian. I live in South Australia with my fiance and our 2 dogs and cat. Currently I work in an office job, but that's just to save up for our wedding and honeymoon next April!! But as soon as we get back from that I will be doing a makeup course that I've already picked out and can't wait to start!
I have loved makeup since I was a little girl and have always loved playing with it and doing my own and other poeple's make up. I love the creativity and they way makeup can change a person's look completely or can be used to sinmply enhance a person's natural beauty or conceal problems to make them more confident!
I plan to make this blog partly about beauty and make-up, partly about "hauls" as the American's say (that's a word I've never used until I started watching videos on youtube - we don't reall use the word here in Aus.), and then also partly just any other general life things I feel like talking about and than poeple might beinterested in.
So I also plan to start making youtube videos, but I think I'll start with the blog and go from there:-)
I look forward to sharing my thoughts and ideas with you all!!
